Sampling Mantodea
Though the majority of praying mantis sampling is accomplished through "virtuoso" collecting, a number of additional techniques have proven effective in tropical fieldwork include: canopy rope climbing, remote canopy trapping, malaise trapping, and mercury vapor lamping.
